VMAGSM: Online Dispute Resolution

Welcome to Chicago-Kent's NEW and IMPROVED Virtual MagistrateSM (“VMAG”)SM arbitration program. VMAGSM arbitration program is a service for resolution of disputes among online computer users, computer operations and persons harmed by the posting of wrongful online messages.

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF:

  • You are interested in a quick, inexpensive resolution to a conflict.

  • You are involved in a dispute that arose from on-line activity, such as:
    • spamming, defamation or inappropriate messages
    • requesting the removal of a message or posted web page
    • have a contract or property or tort dispute regarding on-line issues; or
    • have a concern about the way you were treated or referred to on-line.
  • You are willing to agree to have the VMAGSM arbitration program resolve your dispute for you.

If you are not sure if your situation fits the description provided, send us your name, the name of other parties, describe your situation, and what you would like receive as a result.  (See “Filing a Complaint.”) You will hear back with the acceptance or denial of your case.  This costs nothing.  If your case is appropriate for VMAGSM arbitrators will likely need more information and decide on a result.  Good luck!
